A Time To Be Quiet
So much is happening on a daily basis: there is too much work to do and too few hours. Or alternatively, our heads may be full of issues, ideas, strategies, searching for solutions to our challenges. And yet, it's actually even more crucial, at pressurised times to find some time just to sit, ponder, and be quiet.
Most times this is hardly possible during the day. But when the day starts to fade and the evening appears we can find 15-30 minutes to be still. This is a time when we have no interruptions whatsoever, just the quietness of the night, a time just to be.
For many of us A-type, driven personalities, this may seem like torture or a total waste of time. It may be helpful to see this short period of “Time – out” as an incubation time. You may have some or other challenge you are trying to solve or may find that you need answers or clarity of some sort.
On the other hand, you may just need a short little while to have a break from the daily stresses and strains. Find a quiet spot where you can just sit… and do nothing… except allow your thoughts to flow and wander where they would wish.
Become aware of your surroundings: what do you hear or see or feel or smell. How is your body feeling? What sensations do you become aware of? Just “witness” or observe. Are there any niggling thoughts that keep popping in to your head? Just notice these and allow them to move on. Or are they trying to give you some or other message you need to act on?
This quiet time is a gift in so many ways: it allows our intuition to become more conscious, it serves as a mini vacation or a time to reflect on those things for which we can be grateful or a reminder to get in touch with what really matters. Each one of us will find our own meaning, so do yourself a favour and create this small space somewhere in your day (or evening).
Someone once wrote: We are human BEINGS, not human doings. Can you honour this side of you by giving it a little time in your day?

About PsychMastery:
I founded PsychMastery because I understand that being human can be quite a daunting journey. We live in a world that is changing rapidly. As a result the demands on us are significant. Without even realising it you can find yourself on a path that is so far removed from who you truly are. Or where you want to be. Unless you are aware of what is happening to you, the demands of life may dictate where you will end up. And when you wake up to the reality, years have passed by.
I observe how disconnected people are or feel. Either they are caught up on this ever moving treadmill coping in unhelpful ways. Or they are questioning whether this is what life is about. So many people seem to have lost touch with the essence of who they are beneath all the masks and defenses.
PsychMastery enables you to reconnect with the essence of who you are. I also help you to bring deeper meaning back into your life through the use of sacred ceremony. In this way, you will feel that there is divine presence guiding you. You will also feel a greater degree of community with the important people in your life.
